How to Customize Calibration Plates / Charts

Select Substrate
Application Environment Starting Point for Material Selection
Based on the actual operating environment and measurement requirements, select an appropriate opaque or transparent substrate, then match it with the right fabrication process and coating.
Front illumination and back illumination represent different application scenarios:
・For front illumination (diffuse-reflective applications)
・For back illumination (transmissive applications)
・For front illumination (diffuse-reflective applications)
・For back illumination (transmissive applications)
Substrate Options Opaque / Transparent
Opaque Substrates (for front illumination: diffuse-reflective applications)
- Ceramic: matte ceramic (non-glare); glossy ceramic (reflective)
- Paper: museum-grade archival; 100% cotton fiber, acid-free, lignin-free
- White PE laminated on glass: an excellent substitute for matte ceramic
Transparent Substrates (for back illumination: transmissive applications)
- Glass:
- Soda-lime glass: commonly used; compatible light source can be customized
- Quartz glass: higher performance; compatible light source can be customized
- Film: can be used without laminating onto glass
- White film: semi-transparent colored ink printing
